Junior Cross-Country (XC) MTB Series:

Race 1: Kincaid Stadium XC, Wed 6/14

Race 2: Kincaid Stadium XC, Wed 6/28.  

Race 3: Kincaid Jodhpur XCC (Short Track), Wed 7/7.

Recreational Categories start at 6:30pm

The Recreational categories are all about having fun and enjoying getting out on the trails with friends. This year the Strider and Pedal categories are only available at the 3 junior races.

Strider Bike – Boys/Girls (2-6 years old on bikes with no pedals) –  –complete one shortened lap which is less  than 1 mile around the start/finish area.

Pedal Bike – Boys/Girls (2-6 years old on bikes with pedals)–  complete one shortened lap which is less than 1 mile around the start/finish area.

Elementary – Boys/Girls  (1-5th Grade) –  complete one lap around the full course.

During the recreational races parents are welcome to join and ride/walk along with the racers. There will be a sweep volunteer for the Elementary category to ensure everyone completes the lap as planned.

Competitive categories start at 7:00pm

The competitive categories are the next level in the racing series. We encourage friendly competition across a wide range of grade levels. These races are timed and series points/awards/and podiums will be awarded. Each lap is generally between 4 – 6 miles.

Varsity (10th, 11th, 12th graders with racing experience) –  Boys/Girls – 2 laps starting at 7:00pm

Junior Varsity (10th, 11th, 12th graders with little to no racing experience) –  Boys/Girls- 1 lap starting at 7:01pm

Freshman  – Boys/Girls – 1 lap starting at 7:01pm

6th, 7th, 8th graders – Boys/Girls – 1 lap starting at 7:02pm

Category upgrades are at the discretion of the the race director and will be implemented if deemed necessary.  Please register athlete’s for the grade they are going into in the fall. JV and Varsity are self selected based on grade and experience level.

COST: Free/w ABC membership (Parents if you already have an active ABC membership you can list your Juniors under your account)

Check in starts at 5:30pm; please check in at least 30min before your wave starts.

You will receive your bib number at check in.

Course maps will be displayed closer to each event.
