The Bike Festival is YOUR day! Come to ride bikes, make new friends, and have fun!

For those that want the “FULL SEND” experience, we are focusing on the skills clinics and maintenance classes that people have come to love and expect as well as the rest that the Festival has to offer.

For those that want to “DROP IN” and just test the waters (excludes bike handling skills clinic and lunch) go on a social ride, play in the skills/sender ramps, grab some swag and check out the artisans, merchants, and non-profits in our Vendor Village.

Every body rides! Women+, 18 and up, of ALL fitness levels and ALL bike skills are welcome!  If you don’t think this is for you, we disagree.

Come as you are and leave a better rider! Skills clinics will provide a structured learning experience in small groups for riders at all levels. The clinics will everything from the basics, to technique, and how to ride over obstacles. Our coaches are experienced local riders trained by a Certified Bike Instructor!

Participate in hands-on classes with professional mechanics to learn about proper bike maintenance, suspension, chains and derailleurs, common trail repairs, and how to change a flat. Bring your bike and experience the satisfaction of wrenching on your own bike!  The Trek Store of Anchorage, Mad Moose Bikes, and the Dirt House mechanics will also be providing free bike safety checks.

In addition to your bike, bring your lawn chair and enjoy each other’s company. Families, partners, and friends are welcome. Visit the Vendor Village and check out local non-profits, merchants, artisans, and services, for those participating in the “Full Send” participation enjoy lunch from Finn’s Kitchen and Wild Scoops ice cream. At our Connections tent find out more about all things BIKE in South Central AK and connect with other riders and the larger bike community.

Whether you’re a Full Send or Drop In participant these activities are for everyone.  Thanks to our Arctic Bicycle Club sister division, Arctic Cross, we will have skills/sender ramps!.  This is a great place to practice your bike handling skills in a low-key area.  Get more time in the saddle on a no-drop Social Ride at 4pm.  The rides will be lead by a guide, ensuring no one is left behind, for a go-with-the-flow 1 hour, or less, jaunt through the Hillside area. Meet at the Connections tent and get to know the other folks and find new riding partners.

In order to be OFFICIALLY registered you must complete TWO PARTS: Skills Questionnaire + Arctic Bicycle Club payment.
